One of the most awaited films of the year, Jism 2 has done decent business in India but failed to impress the foreign markets. This erotic thriller directed by Pooja Bhatt and starring adult entertainer Sunny Leone, actors Randeep Hooda and Arunoday Singh, got mixed reviews from the critics. While some criticised Sunny Leone's acting skills, others like Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh blamed the screenplay for the film's slow pace.
Taran Adarsh at first tweeted, "#Jism2 movie review: Sunny Leone is the USP, but lackluster screenplay and sluggish pace are deterrents" but as far as the collections are concerned, he tweeted, "#Jism2 Thu previews 1 cr, Fri 7.5 cr. Excellent."
He also tweeted the figures that 'Jism 2' collected in foreign markets: "#Jism2 UK Fri £ 4,393, Sat £ 5,253 ... USA Fri $ 9,697 [reported screens only] ... Australia Fri A$ 4,973, Sat A$ 5,854." This means that the film mustered a total of just Rs 20.20 lakh over the weekend excluding Sunday in foreign markets.
